Bike Maintenance and Servicing

Bike servicing and maintenance are two topics we are frequently asked about. To get the most out of your bike regular servicing is a must. The frequency of your riding is proportional to the number and type of recommended services per year.

The types of services we offer can be found on our “Services” page. A basic service every three months is recommended. Depending on the amount of riding you are doing an annual service is recommended at least once a year. If you are averaging 500 km a week we recommend an annual service every eight months. If however you find yourself averaging more than 500km a week an annual service is recommended every six months.

If it is time for your bike to get some love, call us today and book in for a service. If you would like some advice on how to maintain your bike, please come along to our free maintenance classes that are run once a month on Saturday afternoon. The next class is on January 14.

Repairing a puncture or replacing tyre or tube. Be aware (as in my case) that the directional tyre is rotating in the correct direction.
