Josie began cycling competitively 6 months ago
and has achieved amazing results, including winning the Tour de Perth,
Avanti Classic, Mooball 3 Day Event, and Le Race in Christchurch, NZ.
In April she was granted a scholarship with the Queensland Academy of Sport.
This month she was selected to race in Italy with the
Australian Institute of Sports women’s cycling team.
We are holding a fundraising brunch to help Josie with her airfare, insurance and other travel expenses. We are all very proud of Josie and as a proud cycling group we want to show Josie our support by helping her with this opportunity she has worked so hard for.
The brunch will start at 0930 on Sunday 18th June in the lifecycle shop car park. Brisbane’s famous Romeo Rigo personal chef to Australian prime minister Harold Holt and owner of Brisbanes famous Romeo’s restaurant will be cooking a hot and cold brunch for us to enjoy.
For those interested we will be doing an easy lap of the river leaving at 0800.
